Our Story

After gaining deep insights into various business and valuation frameworks, Utkarsh set out to develop his own independent research frameworks - combining macro, sectoral and micro indicators - and established a family office to apply and refine this approach in real-world portfolios.

Eiko was founded on a simple but powerful idea: investment advice should be research-driven, transparent, and always aligned with the client’s best interest.

The journey began with Utkarsh Somaiya, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and law graduate (BLS LLB), who built his foundation at Barclays Group as a Structured Finance Analyst and later as an Institutional Equity Research Analyst at Anand Rathi.

With ample hands-on experience across complex financial products, capital markets, and equity valuation, Utkarsh envisioned a client-first advisory model - one that prioritizes long-term value creation.

Recognizing the need to pair strong investment insight with strategic and operational leadership, Tanya Somaiya came on board as Co-Founder. An MBA and seasoned business strategist with a distinguished career spanning across Christian Dior Couture (LVMH Group), Vogue|GQ|AD|CNT (Condé Nast India), Elle India (the Lagardère Group), and ABFRL. Her experience spans high-impact roles across strategy, operations, and go-to-market execution, bringing structure, scalability, & client-centric lens needed to build and grow a financial brand.

Together, we co-founded Eiko - a SEBI-registered Investment Advisory firm - combining Utkarsh’s deep market and regulatory expertise with Tanya’s management acumen and strategic vision.

Utkarsh Somaiya, LLB, CFA

Co-Founder

Utkarsh brings a rare blend of financial expertise and legal acumen to the leadership of Eiko. He holds a dual degree in Bachelor of Legal Science and Laws (BLS LLB) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder - a reflection of his rigorous academic foundation.

He began his career at Barclays Group as a Structured Finance Analyst, where he developed deep expertise in complex financial instruments and capital structuring. He later served as an Institutional Equity Research Analyst at Anand Rathi, gaining hands-on experience in financial modeling, market analysis, and stock valuation.

Driven by a long-term vision and a passion for disciplined investing, Utkarsh transitioned into entrepreneurship - combining research depth with strategic execution to help clients grow and protect their wealth.

At Eiko, he serves as Principal Officer, leading the firm’s investment advisory practice. His approach is rooted in clarity, process, and alignment - ensuring that every strategy is backed by insight and tailored to long-term client success.

Tanya Somaiya, MBA

Tanya holds a Masters In Business Administration and is a Performance – driven, strategic and solutions-oriented professional with transferable exposure and experience. She possess a proven track record to meet performance requirements; executing go-to-market strategies and programs to increase revenue productivity by optimising strategy and operations.

Offering a wealth of knowledge and expertise, honed through her diverse experience in commercial and strategic roles at renowned global organizations such as Christian Dior Couture (LVMH Group), Vogue|GQ|AD|CNT (Condé Nast India), Elle India (the Lagardère Group), and Adita Birla Fashion & Retail.

With this expertise, she aims to drive Eiko toward unprecedented growth in revenue and client acquisition, while overseeing business development, strategy, and operations to propel the company to new heights of success.
